Interim Designated Nurse – Safeguarding Children

Our Client, a CCG organisation based in the South East, is currently seeking an experienced Designated Nurse – Safeguarding Children who has expertise knowledge in child protection, legislation and related policies. This strategic 3 month role is to ensure the organisation meets their statutory duties and will be working in a multi-agency format including the Local Authority and NHS providers.  

Duties/Responsibilities: 

- Lead and manage work plans, progress and risk management
- Deliver and improve models for safeguarding children providing relevant assurances and robust systems within the local health area. 
- Provide specialist advice to relevant parties to ensure effective systems are in place to safeguard children
- Ensure commissioned service is in line within regulation and processes. 
- Provide advice on training, service development and improvements to ensure full protection for children
- Identify and improve potential risks within the service and ensure any relevant lessons learnt are fully embedded into practice and policies.
